Accountant at Demo Business

About the role

Demo Business is a growing organisation committed to maintaining strong financial foundations as it scales. We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations and ensure accurate, compliant record-keeping across the business.

Key responsibilities

Maintain complete and accurate books of accounts using Tally on a daily basis
Handle GST compliance including computation, filing of returns, and reconciliation
Manage TDS deductions, deposits, and return filings within statutory deadlines
Perform regular bookkeeping tasks including ledger maintenance and journal entries
Prepare bank reconciliation statements and resolve discrepancies promptly
Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Coordinate with auditors and provide necessary documentation during audits
Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable and follow up as needed
Ensure timely and accurate compliance with all applicable statutory requirements
Assist management with financial reports and MIS data as required

Must-have skills

Tally (day-to-day accounting and reporting)
GST filing and reconciliation
TDS computation and return filing
Bookkeeping and ledger management

Qualifications

Graduate in any discipline (Commerce preferred)

We have 2 openings for this on-site role, offering a compensation of Rs 25,000 - Rs 35,000 per month.
