SEO Executive at Markonik

About the role

Markonik is an IT and marketing services company helping businesses grow through smart digital strategies. We are looking for a skilled SEO Executive to join our remote team and drive measurable organic growth for our clients across on-page, off-page, and technical SEO fronts.

Key responsibilities

Conduct keyword research to uncover opportunities for content creation and on-page optimization
Optimize meta titles, descriptions, headers, URL structures, and internal linking as part of thorough on-page SEO
Monitor website rankings, organic traffic, and keyword positions using tools like Google Search Console, SEMrush, or Ahrefs
Perform technical SEO audits to identify and resolve crawl errors, broken links, page speed issues, indexing problems, and mobile usability concerns
Execute off-page SEO activities including link building, guest posting outreach, and backlink analysis
Track and analyze website performance using Google Analytics (GA4) and Search Console, and prepare regular performance reports
Coordinate with content writers to ensure SEO best practices are embedded in blogs, landing pages, and website copy
Stay current with Google algorithm updates and adjust strategies to maintain and improve rankings
Conduct competitor analysis to spot gaps and identify growth opportunities
Support local SEO efforts including Google Business Profile optimization, citation building, and review management where applicable
Collaborate with the web development team on technical fixes and site structure improvements
Monitor, audit, and disavow toxic or spammy backlinks to protect domain health
Prepare weekly and monthly SEO performance reports with clear, actionable insights for clients and stakeholders

Must-have skills

On-page SEO - strong command of optimization techniques across all key elements
Off-page SEO - proven experience in link building and outreach
Content writing - ability to write and guide SEO-friendly content effectively

Good to have

Strong communication skills for client coordination and team collaboration

Qualifications

Postgraduate degree in any relevant field
2 to 3 years of hands-on SEO experience

We have 1 opening for this fully remote role, with a monthly compensation of Rs 20,000 - Rs 30,000.
