Accountant - Demo Business

About the role

Demo Business is a growing company in the testing space, and we are looking for a dependable Accountant to join our team in Guwahati. In this role, you will keep our books accurate and our statutory filings on time, working closely with the management team. You will be a key part of keeping our finances organised and compliant.

Key responsibilities

Maintain day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting entries accurately in Tally
Prepare and file GST returns on time, and reconcile input tax credit
Calculate, deduct, deposit and file TDS returns within statutory deadlines
Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts and customer ledgers regularly
Prepare invoices, vouchers and payment records, and track receivables and payables
Assist with monthly closing, financial statements and management reports
Keep financial records organised and ready for audits and statutory reviews
Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants and internal teams as needed

Must-have skills

Hands-on working knowledge of Tally
Practical understanding of GST filing and compliance
Working knowledge of TDS provisions and returns
Strong bookkeeping fundamentals

Qualifications

Graduate in any discipline
0-3 years of relevant experience

Compensation

Rs 25,000 per month
